Monocacy Crossing Restaurant

From the moment our entrées arrived, I had a feeling dessert was going to be something special—and I was absolutely right. Our server shared that nearly all of the desserts are crafted in-house by their talented pastry chef, Billy. (The only exception? The Coconut Pound Cake, which comes from the chef’s own mother—clearly, desserts here are a family affair.)

Naturally, I had to try the Cannoli Cheesecake, and it did not disappoint. It arrived beautifully plated on a clean, round white dish with a dollop of homemade whipped cream, a fresh slice of strawberry, and elegant drizzles of chocolate. What really brought the dish together were the pieces of cannoli shell sprinkled on top—adding both texture and nodding to the cheesecake’s name.

Let’s talk crust: moist, flavorful, and perfectly structured. In fact, the crust alone could stand as a dessert—no exaggeration. As for the filling, it struck that ideal balance between dense and creamy, packed with flavor in every bite. It was so good I found myself slowing down just to savor it longer.

This is one of those rare cheesecakes where I genuinely can’t imagine a single improvement. I believe my mom—who joined me for dinner—said it best:

“The only problem with this cheesecake is that there isn’t more.”
