This review has been sitting in my notes for quite some time, and unfortunately, I never got around to posting it before Firestone’s Culinary Tavern closed its doors. But a cheesecake this good deserves to be remembered.
I had the pleasure of trying their Dulce de Leche Cheesecake, and it was nothing short of a masterpiece. Plated on a sleek white rectangular glass plate with intricate artwork designs and a drizzle of sauce, it was visually stunning before I even took my first bite.
The crust immediately stood out—perfectly thick with a wonderful texture that complemented the creamy filling beautifully. And that filling? Some of the lightest and creamiest I’ve ever had. Each bite practically melted in my mouth, making it impossible to stop.
To top it off, the cheesecake was served with three perfectly placed dollops of whipped cream—one atop the cheesecake and two more on the plate—adding a subtle sweetness and contrast to each bite.
Looking back, this cheesecake was an easy 9/10. It was the perfect way to celebrate my friend’s birthday, and I only wish I could tell you all to go try it for yourselves. While Firestone’s may no longer be around, this cheesecake will always be one of the best I’ve had the pleasure of tasting.
