Clyde’s Willow Creek Farm

Recently, I celebrated my parents’ 30th anniversary at Clyde’s Willow Creek Farm with the whole family. As soon as I found out where we were going, my first question was, “Do they have cheesecake?” To my delight, I learned that they had it on the menu. With high expectations, I knew I would be ordering it.

The filling of the cheesecake was fresh and creamy. However, I was disappointed with the lackluster presentation. Although the blueberry compote and whipped cream were pleasant additions, the cheesecake itself seemed to lack the same level of care and attention as the rest of the dishes we ordered, leaving me somewhat disappointed.

To make matters worse, the crust was flavorless and didn’t add anything to the overall experience. Again given how much attention to detail was put into every other item we ordered, I expected equally as much if not more from the last dish of the night.

Despite my disappointment with the cheesecake, I thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the evening. The drinks were great, the food was delicious, and I was surrounded by my loved ones. Overall, it was a great night, but it goes to show that sometimes it’s better to have low expectations. Fortunately, you have me to help set your expectations of cheesecake going forward.
