The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille

I recently decided to stop in Green Turtle for dinner and, of course, to try their cheesecake. Unfortunately, the dinner was pretty bland, so my expectations for the cheesecake were already low. However, I was still disappointed with what I received.

I’m almost conflicted on whether or not I should even give this a rating as a cheesecake. The only “cheesecake” thing about this was the slight filling of vanilla cheesecake that was subpar at best. The crust was an actual chocolate cake rather than a true crust. Everything about this screamed dessert rather than a true cheesecake.

The taste of this “cheesecake” was overly sweet, with an artificial aftertaste that left a sugary flavor in your mouth. It’s safe to say that this was a letdown.

On the bright side, the plating was tastefully done on a nicely sized white glass square plate. The plate was also given a nice drizzle of caramel to add to the appearance. They also placed a piece of chocolate with a giant pecan on the top as well. Not a bad touch, but added to the sweetness.

Pricing at $8.29 wasn’t terrible, but I wouldn’t pay for it again if I want a cheesecake.

Overall, this dessert was okay, but if I am to rate it as a cheesecake (which it claims to be), then it’s absolutely something I would suggest not getting.

Flavor – Turtle Cheesecake (Vanilla Cheesecake)

Price – $8.29

Rating – 3/10
